Mike Tindle, nephew of Princess Anne and cousin of Prince William, has revealed some interesting new insights into Prince George's passion for football. In his recently published book, Tindle writes that wherever eight-year-old Prince George is, he will always make time to watch a football match. The young royal is said to be obsessed with the sport, just like his father Prince William before him.

This was evident most recently when Prince George attended the UEFA Euro 2024 final between England and Spain this past summer. He was photographed enthusiastically watching the match alongside his father Prince William in the stands. Tindle says George "loves his football" and has a particular soft spot for Aston Villa FC. The uncle has even played kickabouts in the garden with George before and reports that the prince is quite skilled for his age.

Football clearly runs in the family, as Prince William has long been known to be an avid fan and supporter of England's national team. Earlier this month, he welcomed new England manager Thomas Tuchel with a tweet saying they had an exciting new generation of talented players under fresh leadership. William expressed his full support for Tuchel and wished him the best of luck in his new role.

The Prince of Wales has built strong relationships with previous England managers as well. After Gareth Southgate stepped down following the national team's successful Euro 2024 campaign, William paid tribute to him on social media. He thanked Southgate not only as FA president but also as an England fan for creating a team that stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world. The royal also commended Southgate's leadership, compassion, and class throughout his eight-year tenure.

Just over a week later, it was announced that William would be relinquishing his role as FA president, a position he had held since 2005. The decision came as he focused his efforts more on responsibilities in Wales and Cornwall as Duke of Cornwall. However, football will surely remain close to William's heart for many years to come through supporting his son Prince George's passion for the beautiful game.

In other royal sporting news, Mike Tindle has also provided some fresh insight into the sporting habits of Princess Kate in a recent interview. The mother of three is well known for her dedication to exercise and has long incorporated running, yoga, cycling, and other activities into her routine. Tindle affirmed that "Catherine loves her running" and keeps herself active on a regular basis.

Coming from a family deeply invested in equestrian sports, Tindle understands the drive for physical fitness. He and his wife Zara, Princess Anne's daughter, both competed at elite sporting levels, with Zara even winning an Olympic medal in 2012. Not surprisingly, their three children Mia, Lena, and Lucas have inherited this competitiveness. Young Lucas especially "wants physical contact" and needs to burn off energy through wrestling and play fights according to his father. With such athletic parents, it's no wonder the Tindle kids are following in their footsteps.

Princess Anne also remains as active as ever in her royal duties at age 72. She recently represented the royal family at a ceremony in the Netherlands commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden. Fans praised Anne's continued dedication and commented that she works even harder than other royals. She resides full-time at Gatcombe Park Estate in Gloucestershire along with her children and their families.

The spacious 730-acre property was a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth and features numerous reception rooms ideal for hosting. With grandchildren constantly visiting, Princess Anne surely makes use of the family's famous converted "Party Barn." Her Grade II listed mansion also has an enormous west-wing conservatory perfect for large dinner parties. The all-glass room floods with natural light, offering spectacular views of the grounds. It's easy to imagine the royal family gathering here to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions amongst the greenery.
