It seems the drama within the British royal family is only escalating. King Charles is facing mounting frustration from his siblings over his handling of the Prince Andrew situation. Andrew has refused to vacate his Royal Lodge home, despite Charles' urging, and now the fallout is threatening to divide the family.
Charles does not look favorably on the current state of affairs within his family according to inside sources. It appears everyone is dealing with their own issues, be it related to health, finances or legal troubles. But it is the ongoing saga with Andrew that has caused the most strain. Andrew signed a 75-year lease for the property in 2003 and has no plans to relinquish the residence, even after his death. He intends to pass the lease onto his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie. However, Charles is pushing for Andrew to downsize and believes Royal Lodge should be put to better use. By forcing the issue, it seems Charles has only succeeded in angering more family members.

Fergie is also livid at Charles over his treatment of her ex-husband according to sources. Beatrice and Eugenie are furious that their father is not being properly protected or defended by Charles. Things have gotten so heated that even Queen Camilla is reported to be upset by Charles' irritability and the position he has put her in.
Clearly tensions within the royal family are reaching a boiling point. With Anne, Edward, Sophie and now Camilla displeased with how Charles has handled Andrew, he faces dissent within his own ranks. Even Andrew's daughters who had been embracing more prominent royal roles appear to be backing their father in his standoff with Charles.
Their very public criticism and disappointment in Charles will likely make it even harder for him to manage the family affairs going forward. William and Harry still have a strained relationship and Harry's exit from royal duties continues to be a sore subject. Kate is receiving criticisms for her limited royal duties while Meghan Markle watches safely from afar, free from royal politics and dramas.

Charles has succeeded only in further upsetting family members with his demands that Andrew leave Royal Lodge. Without their united support, it will be difficult for Charles to rein in wayward family members and modernize the monarchy as king. Andrew also poses a major threat as he holds all the leverage with his long-term lease on the property.
Charles now finds himself with few true allies as the infighting overwhelms any semblance of unity. Even Camilla's support appears to be wavering given her reported irritation with Charles. The family is retreating into feuding factions just as the public scrutiny over their behavior intensifies. It remains to be seen how much longer the fractured royal institution can endure under this weight of turmoil.
