NOTABLE GESTURE of Prince Louis And His Big Sister Princess Charlotte Makes Fans Go Crazy

Wherever five-year-old Prince Louis goes, he is guaranteed to bring light and laughter to any situation. As the charming and cheeky personality of the youngest Cambridge child turns Royal stoicism on its head, Charlotte is often there to ensure her little brother is behaving appropriately. Luckily for Louis, Charlotte is always an attentive big sister, making sure to keep him in check.

This was evident during Trooping the Colour in June when the Cambridge children joined their grandfather for the balcony appearance to celebrate the Queen's birthday. At one point, Charlotte was spotted having a "big sister moment" with Louis on the Buckingham Palace balcony. The energetic toddler was pulling an array of cheeky expressions and swaying his hips from side to side as he danced to the music. While Catherine seemed to find Louis's antics amusing, Charlotte appeared less than impressed. Witnesses say she told Louis "you have to stop doing that" and "watch the parade." But the feisty prince replied "I won't!" Determined to keep her brother in line, Charlotte added "do as you're told," though Louis responded with a defiant "nope!"

Another charming anecdote occurred during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in early June. As the royals gathered on the balcony, Louis entertained the crowds by making funny faces and commenting on the possibility of the soldiers getting wet. Throughout it all, Charlotte maintained her poised composure while also keeping a watchful eye on her mischievous brother. She has embodied the grace and leadership expected of a future Queen even at her young age.

Charlotte's role as the responsible sibling was also on display a few days later during the Queen's Birthday Parade. Known as Trooping the Colour, the spectacle saw the Cambridge children accompany their parents and grandfather on horseback. Photos from the event show six-year-old Charlotte talking to Louis and demonstrating how to stand properly with his arms by his side as the national anthem played. Meanwhile, eight-year-old Prince George looked on attentively. Charlotte's poised demeanor and instincts as the eldest sibling were evident as she subtly guided her brother's behavior according to royal protocol.

Samir Hussein, the royal photographer who has documented the Cambridge family for nearly a decade, says Charlotte "is very like her mother Catherine in her mannerisms." He notes how she "clearly looks up to her a lot." Royal biographer Robert Jobson agrees, adding "she's obviously a sharp cookie. You get the impression she's sort of corralling [Louis and George], making sure they follow protocol." Both experts recognize Charlotte has embraced her role as a future leader, already looking out for her brothers in a motherly way.

But Charlotte's poised nature and care for her siblings is not lost on royal observers. Comments on clips of the trio frequently praise how "well behaved" and respectful Charlotte remains despite her siblings' energetic antics. Many liken her demeanor to that of her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Both exude a calm authority and gravitas well beyond their age.

While Charlotte may be third in line to the throne after her father Prince William and older brother Prince George, it's extremely unlikely she will ever sit on the throne herself. For that to happen, both male heirs ahead of her in the line of succession would need to abdicate or pass away without heirs of their own. Instead, as the eldest daughter of a future monarch, Charlotte's most likely role will be that of Princess Royal - a title currently held by her great-aunt Princess Anne. As the sovereign's daughter, the Princess Royal acts as a trusted confidant and aide to the reigning monarch. Based on her conduct thus far, Charlotte embodies the grace, loyalty and leadership expected of someone who may one day hold such an important role supporting the British Crown.
