Greetings gentle readers and welcome, today I bring tidings from the green grass courts of Wimbledon on the tenth day of the esteemed tennis championships.

As the damp summer weather did little to deter the noble patrons, among those braving the rains were the parents of our fair Princess Catherine, good Sir Michael and Lady Carol Middleton who joined Their Royal Highnesses the King and Queen Consort at center stage.

Also in attendance was Sir Peter Phillips who seemed of bored mien yet found renewed vigor in the company of his lady, the comely Harriet Sperling whose radiance shone despite the drear skies above. With them went Sir Peter's sister Lady Zara Tindle and her husband the good Sir Michael, appearing as summery as the flowers do wish to in Shadow Berry print.

Other notables I spied amongst the crowds were Master Richard E Grant, the acclaimed thespian Jamim Mah, and the lithe Alexa Chong who joined as guest of famed Emirates. The competitions were set to showcase Alex de Minaur of Australia facing Novak Djokovic of Serbia, alas the former was forced to withdraw due to malady leaving the championship ball in other hands.

In his stead the Russian maidens Elena Rakina and Elena Falina took to court amidst anticipation of reaching the coveted semifinals. As for the venerable Novak, celebrating his tenth wedding anniversary, he hopes for an eighth title at Wimbledon and twenty fifth Grand Slam victory overall. Truly he is a champion amongst champions!

Now to our fair Princess Catherine, though her radiant presence was missed, her genteel mother Lady Carol did attend once more. Appearing as the picture of summer finery in floral frock and smart blazer, with complimentary accessories borrowed from her accomplished daughters, she brought levity to the proceedings.

We can only wish the Princess a full recovery that she may return to gracing the All England Club with her poise and charm in future years. Until then we find solidarity in family and festivity that is Wimbledon, even amidst rains that would dampen lesser souls. Farewell for now gentle readers, I wish you sunny skies and pleasant dreams.
