King Charles reportedly snubbed Lilibet's christening after exchanging letters with Meghan Markle. According to a new book about the royal family, it has shed light on the real reason King Charles did not attend the christening of his youngest granddaughter Lilibet.

King Charles claimed he was unable to find room in his diary for the christening of his youngest granddaughter Lilibet despite being invited by The Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, who had their daughter christened earlier this year in California surrounded by close friends and older brother Archie. However, neither Prince and Princess of Wales nor the king and queen were in attendance, with some speculation online suggesting that they had not been invited.

However, a new book titled "Endgame" by royal biographer Omid Scobie, which has been published in Australia, claims the Monarch was indeed invited to celebrate his youngest granddaughter but was unable to find space in his diary. Despite the difficult relationship between the king and his youngest son, Scobie suggests that Meghan has exchanged infrequent letters with her father-in-law.

It is believed that the king is kept updated on how the children are progressing, with Meghan sharing photos of his grandchildren with the King. It is believed that letters between the two were exchanged just weeks after Harry and Meghan appeared in Oprah Winfrey's tell-all interview in 2021. The interview made headlines all over the world after the pair claimed that two senior royals had questioned how dark Archie's skin would be whilst his mother who is mixed-race was pregnant.

During his royal tour of Australia, King Charles III appears to be taking a cautious pace due to concerns over his cancer recovery. When King Charles arrived at a church in Northern Sydney, he came in an extra-large vehicle with an emergency ambulance on standby. The energy from the crowd of well-wishers appeared to lift the monarch's spirits, as his majesty smiled and waved to hundreds of patriotic Australians and spent a good chunk of time meeting many of them outside St Thomas Anglican Church following the Sunday morning service.

King Charles, who is 75 years old, looked full of energy having spent a day resting in Sydney's Admiralty House, which was planned to keep up his stamina to endure long days of official engagements. On Saturday, the royal couple were spotted relaxing in the grounds which overlooks the Sydney Opera House, taking a gentle stroll. Both Charles and Camilla are known for their love of walking, but spending time on the ground observing his majesty down under, there are subtle signs his health issues have followed him.

The king arrived at the church service around 10:30 a.m. local time but his final engagement appeared to be over by lunchtime, unless there were some unannounced visits or work that his majesty was busying himself with that afternoon. The lighter workload suggests he could still be taking it as easy as possible to avoid damaging his cancer recovery. Royal doctors have allowed him to pause his cancer treatment while he is touring New South Wales and Canberra, but the workaholic King is understood to have been urged not to push himself too far.

Monday's final two engagements - private audiences with Australia's governor-general Sam Monon and the governor of New South Wales Margaret Beasley took place in the very residence he is staying in Australia, in other words not a long commute to the drawing room. However, the king had enough energy to deliver an informal but powerful speech to the New South Wales Parliament House earlier today, which is celebrating the bicentenary of its Legislative Council. Despite his health battles, the king clearly has a deep affection for Australia where he reigns as head of state and wanted to come here in person to immerse himself in different communities. Bussier days lie ahead on this royal tour, and it appears his majesty is walking before he starts running. Perhaps the king is familiar with the fable "The Tortoise and the Hare" and its famous moral - slow and steady wins the race.

Both King Charles and Kate Middleton share an unconventional hobby - beekeeping. King Charles is renowned for his love of the outdoors and has a long-standing fascination with nature. His private residence, Highgrove House, is home to a kaleidoscopic wildflower meadow teaming with 120 different plant species and 30 beehives. The bees produce a royal garden honey that can be purchased from the Highgrove Gardens website. The monarch also has treasured beehives at Clarence House and Buckingham Palace, with each hive containing an estimated 20,000 bees.

Kate surprised fans with a rare snapshot of herself rocking a full beekeeping suit and Wellington boots in 2021. She wrote "We are buzzing about #WorldBeeDay - bees are a vital part of our ecosystem and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy." Queen Consort Camilla is also a keen apiarist and produces her own honey at her Wiltshire home, which is then sold at Fortnum & Mason to raise money for charity. Meanwhile, Kate's brother James loves tending to his bees, which were gifted to him over a decade ago. He now has almost half a million bees in eight hives.

Some experts claim that King Charles may have sent a subtle message to Meghan and Harry suggesting a possible royal return. An expert said the King Charles had delivered a hidden message to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex suggesting a possible re-entry into the royal world last year. This comes amid ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family following Megxit. Only time will tell if relations between King Charles and the Sussexes continue to thaw.
