Britpop band Oasis recently announced their highly anticipated reunion tour after being estranged for 15 years. This has sparked new discussions around whether the famous feuding brothers Prince William and Prince Harry will finally reconcile, similar to Liam and Noel Gallagher. However, some royal experts argue that William doesn't necessarily need to reunite with his estranged brother like the Oasis brothers felt financially motivated to do.
Discussing the topic on GB News, a panel of royal commentators weighed in on whether the Oasis reunion could inspire Harry and William. Paula London claimed that the main reason Liam and Noel Gallagher are getting back together is for monetary gain. She stated "William doesn't need to get back with Harry. In an ideal world you should always be close to family members but not everyone is and as I say if it wasn't for money Liam wouldn't be getting back with [Noel]".

Emma Wolf shared a similar perspective, noting that families do inevitably feud at times. However, she expressed hope that one day the royal brothers may be able to reunite. Wolf recognized that Harry's tell-all memoir 'Spare' revealed details that were almost unforgivable to the royal family. She said "There's so much more complicated stuff going on behind the scenes. I think a lot of the stuff that Harry said in Spare is almost unforgivable. But is it unforgivable? It's something that we can't really know about." Despite this, Wolf remained optimistic, stating "Let's hope that in time they are able to come back together because they were close."

Host Isabelle Webster drew parallels between the rocky relationships of both the royal brothers and the Gallaghers. She suggested that like William, Noel Gallagher had been tolerating their difficult sibling for some time. Webster said "Presumably Noel was just tolerating it for a while and then he was like 'I don't need this in my life'. The same with William, he was like 'Harry's the fun one until the point where he crossed the line'."
The latest reported interactions between Princes William and Harry seem to indicate their rift remains unresolved. The brothers attended the memorial service for their late Uncle Lord Fellowes in early September. However, it's understood they did not speak to each other at the event, despite standing just meters apart.

One attendee at the service told The Sun newspaper that William and Harry were "only 5 yards from each other" at one point but kept their distance. Another local resident in Snettisham, Norfolk where the service took place said "We never saw them speak to each other and they kept their distance." Meanwhile, a close family friend confirmed to the paper that both princes attended but did not provide any other details on if they interacted.
GB News understands that throughout the service, the brothers sat on opposite sides of the church, keeping physically separated. Another source at the memorial speculated that the separate seating arrangements appeared pre-planned to prevent William and Harry from interacting too closely. They noted "They were two or three rows back from the front, not at the back, but they were on opposite sides of the aisle. And then there were family members on the rest of the seats between them, so maybe that is something that was arranged."

The source also revealed details about the princes' arrival, saying they flew under the radar of most other attendees by turning up just before the service started. After paying respects to their late Uncle, the pair did not stay to socialize at the post-service wake according to the insider, who stated "we wanted to speak to them but they had a lot of family who hadn't seen them in a long time especially Harry.”

While an Oasis reunion has temporarily reconciled Noel and Liam Gallagher, it seems Prince William does not feel the same motivation to reunite with his brother Harry at this time. Multiple royal experts argue William has moved on from constantly needing to reconcile, unlike the Oasis brothers reuniting primarily for financial gain through touring. However, others maintain hope that with time and space, the royal brothers may one day come to better terms as they process their complex familial issues privately. Only William and Harry know for sure if a royal reconciliation will truly eventuate in the future.
