The Princess of Wales presented the Wimbledon trophy to Carlos Alcaraz this afternoon as the Spaniard won the Grand Slam for a second year in a row. Princess Catherine, who has stepped away from public royal duties while undergoing cancer treatment, saw the Spanish reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz take on veteran Novak Djokovic, winning in three sets. Dressed in a £1295 bespoke dress from Safiyaa, the royal was greeted with a standing ovation as she headed into the Royal Box at Wimbledon earlier in the day.

Kate Middleton looked stunning in the emerald green dress with floral applique detail and pleated skirt. The dress cinched at the waist highlighted her slim figure. She paired the dress with diamond earrings and her go-to natural makeup look with subtle smokey eyes and rosy cheeks. Her brunette locks were styled in loose waves framing her face. As always, Kate carried herself with poise and grace as she made her way to the Royal Box, waving to the cheering crowd.

With Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa by her side, the royal enjoyed a tense rematch of last year's championship match on the grass of the All England Club. Seven year old Charlotte was excited to watch her first Wimbledon final. She showed obvious delight, clapping enthusiastically during rallies and gasping at close shots. However, she also displayed flashes of boredom, playing with the straw in her drink and swinging her legs restlessly on the plush seat when points dragged. Kate keep an eye on her daughter with an amused smile, holding her hand to keep her engaged during lulls in the game.

Before the mother-daughter duo took their seats in the Royal Box, they met with female tennis stars, including Emma Raducanu, who all presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers. Charlotte grinned from ear to ear as she met with the tennis star, who sadly saw her Wimbledon dream crushed on Centre Court by New Zealand qualifier Lulu Sun last week. The bubbly youngster greeted Emma enthusiastically, asking her questions about her training regime and favorite part of playing at Wimbledon. Ever the diplomat, Emma patiently engaged with Charlotte's inquiries with a warm smile.

The daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who sported a £70 Polka Dot dress from Guess, was thrilled to meet the tennis star, and was photographed smiling ear to ear in her presence. The puff sleeve dress showed off Charlotte's childhood innocence. She twirled merrily in the flowy skirt, a stark contrast to her usually reserved demeanor in public. Clearly at ease on the grassy lawns of the All England Club, Charlotte embraced her love of sport even in the spotlight of the Royal Box.

The mother and daughter then met the ‘Work at Wimbledon’ programme which supports young people from a range of backgrounds with roles at the Championships. They toured the facilities with representatives, asking questions about how the program develops career and life skills. Always prioritizing her patronages, Kate's interest was clearly heartfelt. She shone interacting with the youth, encouraging them as they paved their way in the world.

They were without Prince George perhaps indicating he will join his father at the Euros final in Berlin this evening. After the opening ceremonies, Kate and Charlotte returned to their seats just in time for the start of the men's singles final. Alcaraz now has four Grand Slam trophies with a perfect record in major finals, after his two Wimbledon triumphs, his U. S. Open victory in 2022 and his French Open win last month. His fight and skill shone through even against the formidable Djokovic, securing another title at the tender age of 19. Defeat denied Djokovic a 25th Grand Slam title to surpass Margaret Court in the all-time list and also equal Roger Federer's haul of eight men's singles titles at Wimbledon.

After the final point, Alcaraz fell to his knees in disbelief and joy. When he rose, Kate presented him with the championships trophy. As always, she conducted herself with poise and warmth, congratulating Alcaraz and Djokovic with smiles and handshakes. Though no longer an active royal, her presence at Wimbledon is a symbol of stability for the people and continuity of the monarchy. With Charlotte by her side cheering, Kate continues her evolution into an assured figure of the new generation of the royal family. The Princess and her daughter basked in the atmosphere of the occasion, cementing their place at the pinnacle of British tradition and sport.
