Megan has had Harry wrapped around her finger ever since they first started dating. She managed to manipulate him into quitting his job as a senior royal in the British military and working as a low-level staff member at her friend's house in California. From a prince to a virtual errand boy - it's incredible the power she wields over him.
I truly believe Megan only stays married to Harry as a means to control him. She keeps threatening to divorce him on a regular basis, just so she can get him to do whatever she wants. So far, it's worked to her advantage because Harry is so desperate to please her. I don't understand why though, as she doesn't seem too special of a person. However, the threats of divorce allow her to manipulate Harry and walk all over him.

The divorce threats will only come to fruition when Harry finally has enough of it. One of these days when Megan says "I'm going to divorce you" in that ridiculous tone of hers, Harry may just call her bluff and tell her to go ahead. He must be tired of living under the constant threat of their marriage ending. Perhaps then Megan will realize she doesn't totally control him like she thinks.
Harry is also probably staying in this dysfunctional marriage to avoid admitting his family was correct all along in warning him about Megan. Imagine the fallout with his brother William, who repeatedly expressed concerns about Megan when Harry first started dating her. William told Harry to slow things down with Megan, but Harry refused to listen. Now Harry knows William was right to be wary of Megan's motives, but Harry can't face that fact.

Divorcing Megan now would mean proving William right, and Harry likely isn't ready to do that. At least by staying married, he doesn't have to publicly acknowledge his mistake. But his relationship with William will never fully recover since the damage is already done. Harry chose Megan over his own brother and will have to live with those consequences.
When the divorce does ultimately happen, because it almost certainly will at this point, I believe Megan will be the one to initiate it. Just like she took control by sending Trevor Engelson back their wedding rings, Megan wants to call all the shots. She won't allow Harry the satisfaction of filing first.
By starting the divorce, Megan can paint herself as this strong, independent woman who is above royal titles. She'll find a way to take a dig at Princess Diana too, implying she's better than wanting to simply be a princess. Then Megan will ramp up the allegations about Harry - his supposed drug and alcohol issues, how he neglects her and the children. She'll even bring up how he
wasn't around when she gave birth, using it as "evidence" of his failings.Ads
Like how Edward VIII could never detach from Wallis Simpson even after she emotionally abused him for years, I think Harry is almost as controlled by Megan. He wouldn't be able to handle other people seeing the big royal sacrifice as being "for nothing" if he left Megan. Harry's ego seems too fragile for that.
When Megan threatens divorce during their fights, which she admits to doing early in their relationship, it's another tactic to keep Harry under her thumb. Narcissists like Megan need to maintain control in a relationship at all times. They refuse to be the ones left at the alter so to speak. Megan insists on being the dumper, not the dumpee, at all times in her relationships.
Unfortunately for Harry, he fell for the classic narcissist trap laid by Megan. She love bombed him, isolated him from his family, and now emotionally abuses him through threats of leaving. But Harry enables her behavior by constantly giving into her demands out of fear. Their relationship will likely end very messily, with all sorts of damaging allegations flying from both sides via anonymous friends in the media.

While Harry and Megan tear each other to shreds, the royal family will continue their dignified service as always. I predict there will be attempts by former staffers to drop juicy details in exchange for money too, just as we supposedly saw with the book by Jason Knauf. But maybe Harry and Megan will manage to legally intimidate most people into silence with threats of lawsuits.
At the end of the day, Harry is just as egotistical and selfish as Megan. He's made his own bed by ignoring all the red flags and choosing his pride over his family. While he's quick to cast Charles as a bad father, the reality is Harry seems ill-equipped for fatherhood himself given his alleged addictions and delusions. I ultimately believe this toxic relationship will not only end in divorce, but also estrange Harry from his two children. It's a tragic end result of one man's refusal to listen to reason.L
