Welcome back royal watchers! It seems like there may be trouble brewing across the pond as rumors of a potential divorce between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle start swirling. As your host Ben the Critic, it's my job to spill the piping hot royal tea and give you my no-holds-barred analysis of the latest scandals and soap operas coming out of Buckingham Palace. And boy do we have a doozy for you today.
Let's rewind a bit to set the stage. It's no secret that when Meghan first burst onto the scene and hooked America's favorite ginger prince, it seemed like a fairytale come true. A struggling actress marries a real life prince? It was like something straight out of a cheesy Hallmark movie. But as we're now finding out, this story may have more in common with Gone Girl than The Princess Diaries. I've been covering the ins and outs of the royal family for years and I must say, Meghan takes the cake when it comes to social climbers with ambitions of fame and fortune.

According to inside sources close to the couple, namely celebrity gossip maven Sita Saloni, Meghan has apparently been playing Harry like a fiddle from day one. Sita would know, as she has been close with many major celebrities over the years due to her past relationship with music mogul Simon Cowell. And let me tell you, the things she's saying about Meghan's pre-royal days paint a very interesting picture.

By Sita's account, Meghan was always on the prowl, latching onto any celebrity she could in hopes of furthering her career. She would cozy up to anyone with even a shred of fame, looking for her big break. Things get even more salacious though. Sita also alleges there may have been something more than professional zwischen Meghan and Simon back in the day. While nothing has been proven, there was definitely some smoke where there's usually fire with an ambitious actress and a powerful player like Simon.

Fast forward to Meghan marrying Harry, and by all accounts she's had him wrapped around her finger from the get-go. She convinced poor Harry to give up his dream of a military career, remove himself from the line of succession, and move across the pond so she could live out her Hollywood dreams. Harry, our favorite former party prince turned henpecked husband, seemed to lose himself completely to Meghan's manipulations. But now, it seems the penny may have finally dropped for Harry. Sources say he's beyond fed up with being Meghan's puppet and is considering dumping her for a return to life as a spare in London. Frankly, even that has got to be better than taking orders from the Duchess of Deceitful!
This is where the plot really thickens. Word on the grapevine is that with her meal ticket Harry potentially flying the coop, Meghan has resorted to her tried and true tactics of schmoozing up to celebrity contacts in hopes of resuscitating her dead-end acting career. She's allegedly hitting up every A-lister she's ever brushed shoulders with, begging for a role, any role, to get her back in the spotlight. Some say she's even trying to wiggle her way back onto the set of Suits, the show that sparked her brief brush with fame so long ago. It's like she's desperate to recapture the attention and acclaim she tasted before becoming forever relegated to life as a British royal.
